Maya 'open scene' problem... PLEEEEEASE HELP.

I have been using Maya 7.0.1 to successfully import and open Solidworks
files (without the need of Direct Connect etc). But all of a sudden
when I try and import I get a message saying 'error reading file'. I
haven't changed any settings... does anyone have any idea why this
might be happening?

hi,

not sure which format you're using for the import.
maybe the needed plugin is not loaded anymore?
check: windows -> settings/preferences -> plug-in manager
